A Nazareth resident, Mrs. Bobbie E. Jackson, age 90, passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at her residence. She was born January 24, 1935 in Louisville to the late Foster and Mamie Stiles Kelton. Bobbie was a retired employee of General Electric. She enjoyed going to Senior Citizens and bingo. Her wish was to live to be 100 years old.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas N. Jackson, a daughter, Nancy Wilson, her father, Foster Kelton, her mother and stepfather, Mamie and Thomas Jolly, 2 sisters, Geneva Montgomery, Martha Greenwell, her brothers, Wesley Kelton, Leonard Kelton, Gene Kelton, and her stepbrother, Thomas Leon Jolly.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara (Roy) Hutchins of New Haven, her grandchildren, Jennifer (Kevin) Morley, Tommy (Erin) Hutchins, Tracy (Brian) Smith, Michael Chambers, Earl Sexton, her great grandsons, Kaden, Landon, Kam, and Easton Morley, Preston Hutchins, Mack, Liam and Finn Smith, her great granddaughters, Zan Hutchins and Keir Gayle, her special friend, Joyce Ricketts and her caregiver, Susan Heibert. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Bobbie E. Jackson will be 2:00 pm Monday, September 15, 2025 at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home. Chaplain Ray Johnson will officiate. Interment will be in Hebron Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 10:00 am until time of the funeral service. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Hospice of Nelson County, the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association. The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
