With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Ty Braxton Lewis, who departed this life on September 7th, 2025 at the age of 31. He was born on December 17th, 1993 in Columbia, Missouri at Boone Hospital, and attended Harrisburg High School but finished his high school education in North Carolina. Throughout his life, he touched the hearts of many with kindness, generosity, and unwavering love. Ty was baptized at the Harrisburg Christian Church.

He was a beloved son, sibling, grandson, cousin and friend and is survived by his mother, Angel Lumb, his sister, Alissa Lumb, his brother, Cody Smith, his grandmother, Sharon Lewis (Billy Don Lewis), and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Ty was preceded in death by his grandfather, Billy Don Lewis, and his father, John Brudette Smith.

Known for his warm smile, sense of humor, dedication to family, the type that would give you the shirt off his back, he was hardworking, loving and had a caring spirit. Ty loved playing basketball, fishing, backroading, cooking, joking, and spending time with his younger cousins.

A celebration of life will be held on September 28th, 2025 at 1:00 PM, at Harrisburg Lion’s Club. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate the life of Ty. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to In2Action - Columbia, MO.

Ty will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those whose lives he touched.
