Rosa Sigg (née Schwartz) of Prescott Ontario, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2025 in her 92nd year.

Born in Wangen im Allgäu, Germany, Rosa immigrated to Canada, where she and her husband, Hans Sigg, built their home and raised their family in Prescott. Rosa was predeceased by Hans in 2005. Together, they shared many years of devotion and created lasting memories.

Rosa was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, who touched the lives of many with her kindness, strength, and sense of humor. She found joy in fishing and spending time with family, as well as freshly cooked meals, and the warmth of her embrace. She will be remembered for her strength, her warmth, and her deep commitment to family.

Rosa’s life may appear long, but to those of us who loved her, the mark she left on our hearts far surpasses the measure of years she and Opa were given.

Rosa is survived by her two sons, Peter Sigg of Calgary and Jim Sigg (Cindy Corney) of Prescott. She was the proud grandmother of Cary Sigg, Kimberly Lawrence (Justin), and Caitlin Sigg, and the cherished great-grandmother of Aidan and Emmett Lawrence.

A service honouring Rosa will be held on Tuesday September 16th at 1:00 PM at MACKAY Funeral Home 416 Dibble St. West, Prescott. Interment will be held at St. Marks Cemetery following the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada. A private reception will be held following the service.
