Christopher S. Hughes, 43, of Mentor, passed away May 31, 2019, at his residence. Born May 21, 1976, in Euclid, he had been a resident of Lake County for the past 43 years, living in Eastlake before moving to Mentor. Chris was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. He enjoyed playing TV games shows, riding his bike, dancing and spending time with his friends. He was the beloved husband of Lori Lynch Hughes; brother of Brian M. (Melissa) Hughes, Patrick J. Hughes, and Kelly A. (Francis) Dickinson; uncle of Spenser (Stephanie) Hughes, Sutton Hughes, Frankie Dickinson, and Olivia Dickinson. Chris was preceded in death by parents, Donald E. and Patricia Hughes; and nephew, PFC Shane Hughes. Family will receive friends from 12 to 2 PM Sunday, June 23, at The Abbey of Willoughby, 38011 Euclid Ave. (located on the grounds of McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home), in Willoughby.
