She is survived by her brother David Butler (w Kelly), sister Mary Ignatowicz (h Paul), and sister-in-law Noreen Rode. Therese was born to Violet Barthelemy and Walter Butler of Roseville, MN. She attended grade school at St. John the Baptist school in New Brighton, MN and Mounds View Highschool in Arden Hills, MN. Latter she would attend the University or Minnesota as well as Hennepin Technical Institute and Anoka-Ramsey Community College where she received a degree in health information management and technology. Therese married Gary Rudy in 1969, but was later divorced. In 1977, she married Dan Rode and they recently celebrated 42 years of marriage. Together they lived in St Louis Park, MN, New Brighton, MN, Naperville, IL, and Clifton, VA and had the fortune to travel to many places in the US and Ireland. Therese has been active in her health information management profession and was a certified registered health information technologist as well as a home care specialist. She was active both in the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) as well as the Board of Medical Specialty Coders where she recently was elected to the board. She was first employed in healthcare by the Evangelical Health System (now Advocate Care) in Oak Brook, IL and later in the INOVA Health System, in both its Alexandria Hospital and its INOVA-VNA Home Health Agency.
