Danny Dale Scalf was born into this life on June 7th, 1948 in Jackson County and departed this life on Monday, June 10th, 2019 at his residence being 71 years of age. He was the son of the late Elijah Silas and Helen C. Scalf. Danny is survived by his loving wife, Claudene (Wilson) Scalf of Annville. Danny is survived by the following children: Eric (Charlene) Hays of McKee, Stacey (Elmer Dale) Hoskins of Island City, Christopher (Jessica) Powell of Erlanger, Benjamin Powell of Annville, Brian (Stephanie) Thomas of Annville and Derrick Thomas of Annville. Danny is also survived by a sister Nancy Edmonds of Cincinnati, OH; brother in law Roger Cunagin and by three nephews, Kevin, Darren and Kris Cunagin. Danny was blessed with nine grandchildren and one very special grandson, Matthus Powell. In addition to his parents, Danny was preceded in death by two sisters, Patricia Scalf and Betty Sue Cunagin. Danny was a member of the Tyner Baptist Church and was much loved by and will greatly missed by those he went to church with. Funeral service for Danny Dale Scalf will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at Lakes Funeral Home with Bro. Brian Thomas, Bro. Darren Cunagin and Bro. Scotty Witt officiating. Burial will follow in the Seven Pines Cemetery. Pallbearers are as follows: Jeff Scalf, Dale Hoskins, Kevin Cunagin, Kris Cunagin, Trevin Cunagin and Jayden Cunagin. Honorary pallbearers: Willard Gabbard, Tony Boggs, Rex Combs, Sammy Banks, Wayne Thompson, Larry Estridge, Jerry House, Dallas Truett, Roger Cunagin, Tom Partin, Gary Gay and Josh Lakes.
