Sidney H. Miller
Sidney H. Miller, 84, of Carlisle, passed away Wednesday June 5, 2019 at Harrisburg Hospital. Born November 23, 1934, in Carlisle, he was a son of the late Samuel and Bessie (Sandler) Miller. Sidney had been employed as a Chemical Engineer with American Cyanamid, prior to his retirement; and, in his later years, he sponsored Singles Dances. His favorite pastime was listening to, and calling, radio talk shows. His real passion, however, was inventing - from toys to energy innovations. Sidney is survived by his sons, Alan J. Miller, of Norristown, PA, Michael E. Miller, of Berkeley Heights, NJ and Craig L. Miller, of Smithtown, NY. He is also survived by sisters, Sarah Grossman, Leona Frank and Gladys Kaplan; and, four grandchildren. In keeping with his wishes, Sidney has donated his body to the Humanity Gifts Registry so that it may be used by Pennsylvania medical schools for teaching purposes.
