Eunice Lawrence Obituary

Eunice (Whittecar) Lawrence, 85, of Fulton, Mo. peacefully went home to her Lord and Savior on June 5, 2019. She was born on June 20, 1933 in Cedar Butte, South Dakota to the late Lawrence Whittecar and Elsie (Washburn) Whittecar. She grew up in Loveland, Colorado. Eunice was united in marriage to the love of her life Clyde Lawrence on May 30, 1958. They enjoyed 61 wonderful years of marriage on their farm east of Fulton, Mo. Eunice was a faithful member of The Church of God (Holiness) where she enjoyed sharing her faith with those around her and working with the youth in her younger years. She worked at the Nuclear Plant and as a librarian for many years. Above everything, Eunice loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren with every being of her heart. They were her whole world. You could not have a conversation without her mentioning them. In addition to spending time with her family, Eunice had a beautiful gift of painting and was a talented seamstress. She enjoyed working with the youth through Church Camp, reading, growing her flowers and watching hummingbirds. She loved to share these gifts and talents with her family by making many special gifts for them. She had a deep love for the Colorado Mountains and traveling. She loved spending life on the farm she called home and was proud of what she and Clyde had made their own. Eunice was a woman of strong faith and devotion. She will be loved and missed by many until we meet again at those pearly gates. In addition to her husband, Eunice will be sadly missed and is survived by a son, Michael “Buck” and wife Lori Lawrence of New Bloomfield, Mo.; daughter, Deawne and husband Mark Maddox of Falcon, Co.; grandsons, Jonathan (Katie) Maddox of Gypsum, Co., Shawn (Erin) Maddox of Denver, Co., and Michael “Mikey” Lawrence of New Bloomfield, Mo.; granddaughters, Lindsey (Luke) Ruppel of Mokane, Mo., Alecia Lawrence Fulton, Mo., Tiffany Davis of Midland City, Al.; great-grandchildren, Layton Ruppel, Emma Grace Davis, Noah Davis, Olivia Kate Davis, and soon to be great grandson, Lawrence Ruppel; brothers, Richard Whittecar, Donnie (Juanita) Whittecar, Ronald (Patsy) Whittecar; brother-in-law, Wayne Reiff; sister-in-law, Glenna (Kenny) Swearingen; uncle, Dale (Katharina) Washburn; and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jack Whittecar and Larry Whittecar; sisters, Betty Reiff, and Carol Whittecar; and great-grandsons, Hunter Maddox and Leroy Ruppel. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at The Church of God (Holiness) in Fulton with Reverend Travis Sayler and Reverend Dean Greenwood officiating. Friends will be received from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 7, 2019 at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton. She will be laid to rest in Steedman Cemetery.
