Denzil Peter Chin passed away peacefully on the morning of August 25, 2025.

Born on April 13, 1948 in Trinidad, Denzil is survived and loved always by his wife, Merle (nee: Kok), and his children: Nicole (Jeff), Elizabeth (Martin), Warren (Rachelle) and Darryl (Laura). He will be remembered fondly by his grandchildren: Braylon, Raina, Nathan, Brooklyn, Theo and Leila.

He was youngest of the six children of Egbert and Josephine Chin Leung Fatt and a dedicated brother to June Chung (late: Richard), Norma Alleyne (James), Marie Woon-Fat (Ronald), late: Alma Chin and late: Leo Chin (Molly).

Denzil loved spending time with family and friends – whether sharing a meal, chatting or simply hanging out watching the Blue Jays on television. Together with his wife, they took their kids on great adventures from camping up north to car trips down south. He travelled to many places around the world – the Caribbean, Europe, Asia – but was always most content sitting under the shade of a palm tree near the calm waters on the beaches of Cuba. Through the years, he enjoyed playing soccer, tennis, baseball and pickleball and he was always up for a round of mini-golf with his grandkids. He lived his life showing how much he cared for others through his actions.
