George Danley "Dan" Prince, Sr. Obituary

George Danley "Dan" Prince, Sr., age 74, of Maysville, GA went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 20, 2025. He was born on July 2, 1951 in Lawrenceburg, TN. Dan was a member of Maysville Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking, and riding motorcycles but his favorite activity was playing with his grandkids.


He was preceded in death by his mother, Christine Prince; his two sons, George Danley "Danny" Prince, Jr., and Stephen Danley Prince; one son-in-law, Miquel Jones, and three of his brothers, Ronnie Martin, David Prince, and Ricky Prince.


Dan is survived by his wife of 45 years, Linda Wilson Prince of Maysville, GA; his daughter, Julie Jones of Clanton, AL; and his son, Robert Jeremiah Prince, Sr. (Amber) of Gainesville, GA. He is also survived by his nineteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews all of which he loved dearly; and one brother, Dean Martin (Doris).


Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 27, 2025, with T. R. Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Freemon Cemetery in Leoma, TN. 


A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025, at Maysville Baptist Church in Maysville, GA with visitation at 5:00 PM and the service at 6:00 PM with Rev. Shane Roberson and Rev. David Sharpton officiating.
