Nora B. Hatfield

Nora B. Hatfield went to be with her lord and savior May 23, 2019 with her loving family by her side. Nora was born September 6, 1923 to James Labon and Fannie Mae (Spillers) Bowman in Pawnee, Oklahoma, where Nora graduated Pawnee High School. Nora met and married David Riley Hatfield in Perry, Oklahoma, the happy couple settled in Pawnee and started a family to this union were born six children, four sons and two daughters. Nora was a dedicated mother taking extra special care of her children and her grand children and her great grand children. Nora was a prayer warrior always praying for loved ones constantly, if she wasn’t praying she was reading her bible, and reading the bible to her children and grand children. Nora was always very active in life, she loved to go fishing, picking blackberries, doing ceramics, painting, she also loved to dress up for Crazy Days In Pawnee. Nora loved her family and loved spending time with each and every one of them. Nora worked at Cheatham's Department Store for many years. Nora will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Nora was preceded in death by her parents, her husband David, daughter Evelyn Jane, brothers; Frank Bowman, Carl Bowman, George Bowman, sisters Ella Rankin, Pearl Long, and Iva Karraker. Nora leaves to cherish her memories her children; David Hatfield, Nora Ann Isreal, George Hatfield, Billy Hatfield, and Leo Hatfield, sisters;Thelma Harshbarger, and Ruth Coonrod, grand children, great grand children, nieces and nephews, and a host of other family and friends. Services will be held Thursday 10:00 A.M. May 30, 2019 in the Pawnee First Baptist Church with Pastor John Coker officiating, burial will follow in the Highland Cemetery. Services were entrusted to the Poteet Funeral Home and Cremation Services, friends can leave a memory for the family at www.poteetfuneralhome.com
