Marjorie “Mudgie” (nee Hepp) Landreth of Ardmore, PA. passed away at home in the presence of her family on August 15, 2025. Mudgie was 76 years old. She is the beloved wife of 54 years to Rory Landreth and the loving mother of Kathryn Ann “Katie” (Paul Hall) Landreth, and Anne Evans “Annie” (Christopher) Herman. She was the devoted grandmother of Brittnay Ellington, Maya Shaw, Lily Herman, and Julian Herman. Marjorie is the sister of Katherine Gallagher, Susie (Billy) Williams, Christy (Mark) Neville, Adam (Terry) Hepp, Nancy (Peter) Agler, Billy Hepp, Tommy Hepp, Tim (Lynne) Hepp, and Mary (Greg) O’Neill.

Mudgie was born on December 31, 1948, in Chicago, Illinois to Adam and Marjorie (nee Bohlman) Hepp. She is a graduate of Archbishop Prendergast High School in Drexel Hill, PA. Class of ’66. She continued her education at St. Joseph’s University and eventually went on to earn her MBA from Villanova University. Mudgie was the first president of Villanova’s MBA Association. A popular teacher at St. Denis School in Havertown for 14 years, she retired from education and worked her way up to Senior Executive Vice President for Molloy Associates in Wayne, PA.

A patient and loving person, Mudgie always put everyone else’s needs before her own. She cared deeply for her family and was happiest in their company. Her grandchildren were the light of her life and she cherished spending time with them. She was very close to her nine siblings who all lived in the Philadelphia area and took every opportunity to see them. Always a big fan of the annual summer beach week with the extended family in Sea Isle or the many more adventurous trips to places like Alaska, the Rockies, the Sierra Nevada’s, Europe, etc., Mudgie was a lot of fun to travel with.
