It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Barry.

Also left to cherish his memory are sister Pat McIntyre (Richard), brother Wayne Bracken (Laurie), brother in law Jack Morgan (Marlene), nieces and nephews; Shannon McIntyre, Kathryn and John Bracken and Clayton Morgan and many cousins and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents Jack and Vera Bracken and nephew Michael McIntyre.
Barry was raised and went to school in OakBank, Manitoba. A few years after his Grade 12 graduation, he ventured out on his own, moving to Winnipeg. During his high school years he acquired the nickname “Black” which was given to him by his friends. He had a good sense of humour and enjoyed getting together with family and friends. He was always up to a celebration and quite often would have family gather in the backyard for a “pig” roast. On occasion, he also enjoyed having a game of Crib with family members or friends.
He loved the lake and fishing, many enjoyable hours were spent at Sunnyside Camp on the Winnipeg River. He liked seeing the wildlife at the lake and even the backyard! There were always family pets at home, a cat a dog or both. After fishing season, hunting season started for ducks, geese, deer and elk.
Barry worked at a few different companies; one was Allan’s AutoGlass, where he learned the technique of the glass business. He later started his own company, Mountain Glass working hard to make it a successful business. Later, Barry and Ferne took on another business, The Breakaway Family Restaurant in Carman, Manitoba.
A private service and celebration of life will be held.
Donations in Barry’s name may be made to Prostate Cancer Manitoba. Special thanks to the doctors and staff at the Selkirk Hospital, Concordia Hospital and HSC Palliative Care Unit where excellent care at all facilities was given.
