James Coons, 81, passed away Saturday July 5, 2025. A native of Fonda, New York, he was a resident of Yorktown for the last 7 years.  He was a veteran of the Navy as a radioman and, after his discharge, he owned his own service station.  James loved to play golf and travel to different golf courses and places. He loved to spend time with his wife and kids.  Jim loved playing with his trains.

James is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Marion Coons; children, Tami Brooks, David Coons, James Harman and Patricia Gwinn; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild as well as many other loving relatives and dear friends.
