Funeral services for Tommy Burch 71, Athens have been scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Friday May 3, 2019 at Lake Athens Baptist Church with Bro. Mike Curry and Bro. Jason Burch officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park, Athens under the direction of Autry’s Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home. Tommy passed away April 30, 2019 in Athens. He was born August 5, 1947 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Herbert Wayne and Zephie Estell Richardson Burch. Tommy was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and was a Mason holding membership in the Masonic Lodge in Athens and also in Waco. Tommy was a resident of Athens all of his life and was a member of Lake Athens Baptist Church. Tommy was passionate about the youth in his community, serving them for 8 years coaching Little League Baseball, loving every minute of it. He also loved fishing, hunting and was an avid bowler. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister; Sherry Wilson and son-in-law; Tom Whelan. Survivors include his wife of 36 years Ramona Burch of Athens, sons; Jason Burch and wife Melissa of Athens, Jonathan Camp of Athens, daughters; Jennifer Whelan of Missouri City, Texas, Monica Camp and Miah Camp both of Athens, grandchildren; Trevor Whelan, Joey Grose, Olivia Grose and Zephie Burch, brother; Todd Burch and wife Amanda of Canton, sisters; Pam Kittles of Athens and Kim Ward and her husband Aubary of Athens, brother-in-law; Bobby Wilson of Athens and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Jason Burch, Todd Burch, Aubary Ward, Trevor Whelan, Reagan Tanner and David Ward. Honorary Pallbearers are Joey Grose, Trey Lyda, Bobby Wilson, Danny Wilson and Sarah Chambers. Visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday evening at the funeral home from 6-8 P.M.
