Marsha Kathleen Briggs, 62, of Des Moines, Iowa, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2025, at Methodist Hospital, surrounded by the love of her family. Her passing was due to heart failure, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Born in 1962, Marsha was a caring daughter, sister, mother, and friend. She spent much of her professional life working at Mercy Hospital, where her compassion, reliability, and sense of humor made her a beloved colleague and comfort to many patients over the years.

Marsha was a woman who brought joy into every room she entered. She was known for her kindness, sharp wit, and unwavering dedication to her family. Whether sharing laughter over coffee, offering a shoulder to lean on, or sneaking off for a few spins at her favorite slot machines, she lived a life full of love and light.

Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She is survived by her brother Mike Briggs, her sister Mary Jo Briggs, her sons Trent Mills and Tanner Mills, and her daughter Tara Chapman. Marsha’s memory will live on in their hearts, and in the stories they’ll continue to share about her strength, her laughter, and her unshakable love.

Marsha’s life was a beautiful example of how kindness, humor, and loyalty can leave a lasting mark on the world. Though her time with us was far too short, the legacy she leaves behind is enduring.
