Hannelore Lord Obituary

Hannalore Weber Lord

1945-2025

Hannelore Weber Lord passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus on July 5th, 2025. She was born in Mainz, Germany to Johann Gottfried and Elfriede Weber, on March 28, 1945. She was one of ten children. She underwent eighteen years of education, two of which were spent in trade school.

On July 28, 1961, she married Curtis Lord whom she met through a friend at a restaurant in Germany. It was not long before the happy couple moved to the U.S. and Hannelore became a U.S. citizen on November 18, 1966, in Manhattan, Kansas. She and Curtis were married for sixty-four years.

Though they made their way around the globe, they put down their deepest roots in Milton, Florida, where their lives intertwined with Stevie Mason, the son of close friends. They would come to see him as a son and play an irreplaceable role in raising him. Hannelore was like a second mother to him, and years later, a second grandmother to his children. Whatever she did, she did well. Whomever she loved, she loved deeply. From her car-racing, world-traveling youth to her child-raising, grandchildren-hugging years, she was one of a kind. In the words of her husband Curtis, “She was everything a husband could want or need.”

Services will be held on Friday, July 18, 2025, at Trahan Family Funeral Home of Milton. Visitation will begin at 11:30 a.m. with funeral services immediately following at 12 noon. Interment will be held at Memory Park Cemetery immediately following the conclusion of services.
