Margaret J. Johnson, 79, of Hanover, PA, entered into God’s eternal care on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at the UPMC Hanover Hospital.

Born December 29, 1945 in Hanover, PA, she was the daughter of the late Robert W. and Stella G. (Murren) Wildasin.  Margaret was the loving wife of the late Robert C. Johnson.

Margaret was a 1963 graduate of Delone Catholic High School.  She received her BA from Shippensburg University.  She worked as a computer programmer for the U.S. Office of Personnel Management for 25 years until her retirement in 1994.

Margaret was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hanover, PA, where she was a former Lector and Eucharistic Minister.  She was a member of N.A.R.F.E., the Hanover Numismatic Society and the Daughters of Isabella.

Margaret enjoyed game shows and trivia and was a finalist for auditions for the game show Jeopardy in 1994.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11 AM, Thursday, July 17, 2025 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5055 Grandview Road, Hanover, PA, with Father Michael Rothan as celebrant.  Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Hanover, PA.  A viewing will be held from 10 -11 AM, Thursday, July 17, 2025 at the church.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
