Margaret Adele Edwards Obituary

On Saturday, July 5, 2025, surrounded by the love and presence of her family, Margy peacefully entered the arms of her Lord. Her final hours were filled with tender hands holding hers, songs of praise, and whispered words of love—a fitting farewell for a woman whose heart radiated warmth, faith, and joy.

Born in Lafayette, CA to Lillian Adele (Wilkins) and Mervyn Edward Wall, Margy attended Acalanes High School before taking a job at the corporate offices of Safeway in Oakland. She had no way of knowing that this job as a worker in the copy room would lead to a career with Safeway spanning more than 50 years, and the best friendships that would last a lifetime. Margy was a woman of many talents. After retiring from Safeway as a Senior Buyer, she took up watercolor painting as a retirement hobby and created many beautiful pieces of art that she enjoyed sharing with friends and family. She was also an avid crafter, talented seamstress, creative jewelry maker, and an excellent cook. She helped make stained glass windows for the new sanctuary at her church, and taught classes in stained glass, cake decorating, sewing, and crafting for the church youth groups.

Margy was kind, loving, fiercely loyal, and had a quick-witted sense of humor. She was a hard worker, extremely dedicated, and a true friend. She loved her family and friends wholeheartedly—and above all, she loved Jesus. She had a radiant smile and a quiet strength that will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her beloved daughters, D’Anne and Jennifer (and her husband, Virgil); her grandchildren Karly, Baily, Jackson, Scotty, and Sal; and her great-grandchildren Dominic, Luca, Sophia, and Enzo. Her love and legacy live on through each of them. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, her twin brother Merv Wall, and her older sister Jeanne Stephens.

“Well done, good and faithful servant… enter into the joy of your Lord.” – Matthew 25:21

A joyful celebration of her life will be held on Saturday August 9, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Metro Restaurant, 3524 Mt. Diablo Blvd in Lafayette.
