Carolyn Scott Woods, a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, sister and wife, entered into eternal rest July 5, 2025. She was 77 years old. Carolyn was affectionately known as Ms. Carol to friends and Cat to close family. She was born in St. Joseph, Louisiana but spent the majority of her life in New Orleans, LA. where she raised her four sons. Carolyn was preceded in death by her mother Betty Scott Norman, Brothers, Robert and Leon Scott (Shirley), Husband Frank Woods Jr., Sons, Jeffey and Daniel Jacobs and grandson Shamond Jacobs and (Myah Allen-Living). She is survived by her sons, Roy Jacobs III, and Cory Jacobs (Natasha), Her sister; Williemae Shannon (Bennie Jr.), Brother Richard Scott (Diane), Aunts; Lillie Turner, Johnnie and Elizabeth Lewis, Godchild Latasha Smith (Derrell), Grandsons Alfred and Bradley Weary, Santana Jacobs (Tootie), Great grandchildren, Ella and Shakahi Jacobs and a host of nieces and nephews. Family and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life Service for Carolyn Scott Woods on Friday July 18, 2025, for 10:00 a.m. at Estelle J. Wilson Funeral Home, 2715 Danneel Street New Orleans, LA 70113. Viewing from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 (service time). Interment: Private. Pastor Nelson Dexter Jr. officiating-Pastor of Temple of Prayer Ministries.
