Robert Lane Parks, age 66, passed away on Saturday, July 5th, 2025, after a short, yet valiant battle with cancer. He is preceded in death by his parents, Troy and Diane, and his wife Vicki. He is survived by his daughter JD, his son Corey, his stepdaughter Rachael, his granddaughter Paisley, and his beloved cat Rosie. He will be missed dearly and remembered by all of his loving family and friends. He was born on February 2nd, 1959, in Marietta, Georgia, a town which he was a longtime resident of and thought of fondly. He was a master carpenter by trade, second to none, for decades until retirement. He had many passions and hobbies in life including admiring classic cars, playing billiards and woodworking just for fun long after his retirement.
His family writes: Robert's life was a blessing to us all and his memory is a treasure. He is loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure. We are comforted in knowing he is in God's keeping for an eternity just as he will be in our hearts here on earth. His warmth, generosity, and sense of humor will be remembered fondly. The loss we feel so deeply without him near is immeasurable, but so is the love he left behind. Our grief is the price we're paying for loving him and having been loved so deeply by him in return, and for that we are blessed.
We give our most heartfelt thanks to Southern Cremations & Funerals for helping us in honoring Robert's wishes of having no formal memorial service but rather allowing us as a family to grieve privately.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The American Cancer Society in honor of Robert Parks
