Edgar Howell age 68 widower of Myredia Howell of Teaberry passed away from this life on Wednesday April 24th, 2019 doing what he loved gardening in his field in Tinker Fork. Edgar was born on July 5th, 1950 a son of the late Milford Howell and Susan Newsome Howell. Edgar was a loving husband, dad and grandfather as well as a former welder, he once owned a trucking company and together with his wife Myredia they succesfully ran Howells Grocery Store, Edgar was also a minister, member and moderator at Zion Old regular Baptist Church in Grethel. Edgar is survived by his only child: Brian Keith Howell and his wife Alisa Dawn of Grethel; three grandsons: Brian Tyler Howell of Richmond and Cameron Keith Howell and Gabriel Edward Howell both of Grethell two brothers; Daniel Howell of Honaker and Walker Howell of Teaberry; as well as two sisters: Verbal Akers of Grethel and Emogene Prater of Salyersville. Along with his wife and parents Edgar is preceded in death by one brother: Monford Howell and one sister: Della Lane Compton. Visitation for Mr. Howell will be held Thursday evening after 6pm at Zion Old Regular Baptist Church in Grethel and all day Friday at the church with nightly services beginning at 7pm. Funeral services will be held on Saturday April 27, 2019 at 1pm at the church with Ministers of the Old Regular Baptist Church officiating. Burial will Follow at Andy's Branch Cemetery in Tinker Fork under the kind and professional care of Nelson Frazier Funeral Home of Martin where it is Our Family Caring For Yours.
