Johnie Greene Parker

Johnie Greene Parker, 70, passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, Mrs. Parker was the daughter of the late John Henry Greene and Bonnie Marie Carter Crowder. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William H. Parker; brothers: Charles Greene, Robert Greene, and Lawrence Greene; and sisters: Betty Greene Powers, Easter Greene Plemmons, Margaret Greene Lloyd, and Mary Ruth Greene Hamilton. She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Parker of the home; granddaughter, Amanda Harrell and husband Carroll; great grandchildren: Brynn, Jayden, and Hartley; sisters: Mae Long of Asheville, Bobbie McLean of Asheville, Ellen Pike and husband Elbert of Asheville, Ann Garrett and husband Jim of Fairfax, VA, and Martha Cooper of Fairfax, VA; sisters-in-law: Darlene Greene of Barnardsville, Aileen Greene of Asheville, and Melba Greene of Crosby, MS; brother-in-law, Jack Lloyd of Summerfield, FL; and by many nieces and nephews, and grand nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 11 AM Monday, November 2, 2015 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 754 Aiken Road, Woodfin, with Rev. Keith Watkins officiating.
