Gary Wayne Duggan, 70, Edgerton, Kansas passed away Saturday, July 5, 2025 at Menorah Medical Center, Overland Park, Kansas. A Celebration of Life will be held at Divine Mercy Parish, CFC Building in Gardner, KS, from 10 am to 1 pm on July 26, 2025. Inurnment in Moran Cemetery, Moran, Kansas.

Gary was born in New Bedford, Massachusetts on November 9, 1954, to Arthur Richard and Barbara Elaine (Wilde) Duggan. Gary grew up in Los Alamos, NM. Gary was a United States Air Force Veteran and retired as an IT specialist for the United States Department of Defense. On January 9, 1982, Gary married Melinda Lee in Overland Park, Kansas. Gary was a member of the USD 231 School Board for many years and served during the construction and dedication of GEHS. After retirement Gary enjoyed traveling the globe and being a stay-at-home grandpa. Gary was a member of Gardner Rotary Club, American Legion LeRoy Hill Post 19, Gardner, KS and a lifetime member of the VFW. He dedicated much of his spare time volunteering for many groups in the community including Harvesters, Edgerton Elementary Site Council, Joy Closet, Sleep in Heavenly Peace, District 7 Water Board, and the Gardner Rotary Club, where he has served as president, as a district governor, and began the Rotaract chapter at GEHS. He was also an avid dog lover and woodworker.

Gary is survived by his wife Melinda; daughters Nichole Merschman, New London, IA and Michelle Duggan, Gardner, KS; sister Linda Honsicker (Dan), Pittsburg, KS and brother Russ Duggan (Angela), Kearney, MO and grandchildren: Misha Epstein, Helena Epstein, and Riley Merschman. He was preceded in death by his parents.
