James M. Reeves, Sr. (Jim), age 73 of Millville, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and friends on July 5, 2025, at 5:25pm.

Jim was a retired heavy machine operator, an accomplished mechanic, but is most well known as a country musician. Jim was a singer of country music, and an accomplished song writer and drummer. Jim played and sang all over South Jersey and even performed at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN.

Jim is survived by his son, James, Jr. of Georgia; fiancé Dawn Sheppard; sisters Cindi Abele of Millville and Tricia Sammons (John) of Bridgeton ; six stepchildren, Gina Scheetz (Henry), Donna Blair (Ed), Tracy Lindia (Lou), Russell Hufsey (Margene), Leslie Pierce (Javon), and Lauri Large (Kandice); nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a multitude of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Jim was predeceased by his parents, Melvin Reeves, Sr. and Dorothy Reeves; siblings Ronald Reeves, Sr., Marian Abele, and Martie Craig Worley; and brother-in-law, Bob Abele and his second wife, Helen Reeves.

Relatives and friends will be received on Saturday, July 12, 2025, from 10:00am until 11:00am, followed by a funeral service at 11:00am at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland. Entombment will be held in Greenwood Memorial Park, Millville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105. It was his favorite charity.
