William Edgar Hodge, known to many as Bill, was a known mechanic and WWII Army veteran, who passed away peacefully on July 1, 2025, at the age of 95. Born on September 9, 1929, in Middlesboro, Kentucky, Bill lived a life of dedication, hard work, and love for his family and friends.
Bill proudly served in the United States Army and fought in the Korean War after enlisting on September 11, 1952, and was discharged on September 10, 1954. After returning home, he became a skilled mechanic, spending years working in the automotive industry, where he was known for his keen sense of humor and unwavering work ethic.
Bill cherished aviation, often spending his free time admiring planes at Air force Museum with his wife whilst sharing stories of the past. He leaves behind his son, Patrick Hodge; grandson, Josh Hodge; and step-daughter and step-son, Sheila and Michael Whittle. Bill is preceded in death by his father William Hodge; Mother, Lydia Hodge; Wife Vilos Hodge, son, William "Billy" Luther Hodge and five brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be held at Spring Grove Funeral Homes in our Willow Chapel at 10:00 a.m. with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. with a burial to follow at Crown Hill Memorial Park & Mausoleum at 1:00 PM.
