Jesus A. "Yeke" Diaz, 75, of Lubbock, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, July 5, 2025. He was born on January 1, 1950 in Eddy, Texas to Daniel B. Diaz and Paula Andrade. Jesus married Isabel Cardona on May 30, 1970 in Lubbock, and began their lives together. He was a conservative man, but he was always the best dressed man in the room. Jesus had a fun spirit, loved to laugh, and enjoy time with his family. He was a family man, spending time with his brothers, and especially his grandchildren. Jesus was an avid Dallas Cowboys Fan, and enjoyed watching them play. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and will be missed by all that knew him.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Isabel Diaz; daughter, Jessica Diaz; siblings, Guadalupe A. Diaz, Donna Rangel, Angelita Carrillo, Sandra Perez; grandchildren, Alexandra Diaz, Isabella Hernandez, Sebastian Hernandez, and Esmeralda Perez.
Jesus was proceeded in death by his parents, Daniel and Paula Diaz; siblings, Teresa Diaz, Daniel Diaz, Jr., Juan Diaz, Joe Diaz, Ricky Diaz, Lilly Bustos, and Frances Diaz.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. ~ 12:30 p.m. with rosary to be recited at 11:30 a.m. at House of Angels Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will follow on Thursday, July 10, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church with burial following at City of Lubbock Cemetery.
