It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Evelyn McCormick (née) Gleason. Evelyn passed away surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Keith (2001). She was a devoted loving mother to the late John – 2009, Keith (Joanne), Terry, Laurie (Jack) Bill (Cathy) and late Sean (infant). A very proud Grandmother to Tanya (Ian) Jesse, Yvette (Stacie), Joel (Jessica), Stephanie (Kyle), Todd (Cassandra), Lacey (Justin), Alyshia (Jesse) and Kara (Jake). Great Grandchildren Myah, Eric, Jack, Eve, Jayne, Zayne, Lukas, Kai. Very dearest cousin Theresa Heafy and along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is also survived by her sister Noreen Chusing and sister in-law Maryln Gleason. Evelyn was predeceased by her parents Raymond and Maude Gleason, her siblings Hurk, Hilary, Vince, brother in-law Dan Chusing, sister in-law Donna Gleason, daughter in-law Wendy McCormick, son in-law Pierre Coulombe, and granddaughter Jodi.
Evelyn was a devoted lifelong member of St Kevin's Church. Her passion for many years was Tai Chi, playing Bingo and enjoying her grandchildren. Special thank you to her caregivers Suanne and Gwen for your kindness, love and dedication which we will always remember. Thank you to Trudy, her dear neighbour for being there for her.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place with arrangements entrusted to the Armstrong Funeral Home & Chapel 179 Clarence Street, Port Colborne. There will be private graveside service at Mt. St. Joseph Cemetery.
