It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Kenneth B. Daniels, Jr., who left us peacefully on July 5th, 2025, at the age of 90. Ken was born on January 29th, 1935, in Louisville, Kentucky. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, whose presence touched the lives of everyone he knew.


Ken was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 50 years, Doris E. Daniels; his parents, Kenneth B. Daniels, Sr. and Stella W. Daniels; and his brother, Donald Daniels.


He is survived by his children: Debbie Gardiner (David), Brock Daniels (Brenda), Steve Daniels (Nicole). His grandchildren, Taylor, Ellie, and Jonathan Daniels; great-grandchild, Maverick Daniels; sister, Gloria Gostomski (Tom); and many nieces and nephews, all whom will carry his memory forward with love.


Ken was a proud graduate of Atherton High School and the University of Louisville, where he was also a valued member of the University’s swimming team. He served in the United States Marine Corps earning the rank of First Lieutenant. Following the Marines, Ken worked for Texaco Inc. and KFC from which he retired.


Ken was known for his unwavering dedication to his family, his country, and his community. He was a man of integrity, strength, and quiet kindness who always put others first. His legacy of love, discipline, and generosity will live on in the hearts of his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.


Visitation will be Monday, July 14th from 4 pm - 8 pm at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, Louisville, KY. He will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at Resthaven Memorial Park.


Ken will be deeply missed but his spirit will remain in the hearts of his family and friends.
