Gregory Esgro Obituary

It is with heavy hearts and full memories that we announce the passing of Gregory Esgro, 61, who left this world peacefully on July 5, 2025 at his residence in Pilesgrove, NJ.

Greg was born in Elmer, NJ to parents George and Rosalie Esgro. Greg was raised in Pitman, NJ, graduating from Pitman High School in 1982. After high school, Greg went on to attend Clemson University where he played football for the Clemson Tigers upon graduating in 1987.

Greg proudly managed and ran the Four Seasons Campground in Alloway, NJ for 25 years, including part-time as a teenager at 14 years old. Greg later retired and adopted his beloved Black Labrador Retriever, “Dad” who never left his side.

A force of nature in every room he entered, Greg lived loudly, laughed often, and loved deeply. Known for his booming yet fervent voice that rarely required a microphone, especially when cheering for the Philadelphia Eagles. Greg had an uncanny ability to make people feel seen, heard, and supported unconditionally.

A devoted son, brother, uncle, and friend, Greg was always a fierce protector and advocate of those he held dear. To be loved by Greg was to be loved out loud.

Greg is survived by his parents George and Rosalie Esgro, siblings George (Arleen) Esgro, Louis (Colleen) Esgro, and Judith Kincade (predeceased by Kelly Kincade), nieces and nephews Melissa, Rachel, Vanessa (Mike), Louis (Lindsey), Elizabeth and Jacob, and great nieces Hannah and Margaux.

Friends may greet the family on Friday, July 11th at St. Bridget Catholic Church, 125 Church St, Glassboro, NJ. A viewing will begin at 10 AM and a funeral mass will be held at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Manahath Cemetery in Glassboro, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Greg's name to the American Cancer Society https://donate.cancer.org/?campaign=default&lang=en
