It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of William John Fiander of English Harbour West, NL. who passed away at the Connaigre Peninsula Health Care Center at Harbour Breton on Saturday, July 5th, 2025, at the age of 87 years.

William leaves to mourn his loving family: wife, Jean Wells at English Harbour West; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Coffin at Mount Pearl; brothers-in-law, David Coffin, Cyril Coffin, Brian Coffin (Jewel), Warren Coffin and Boyd Coffin (Julia); as well as a circle of nieces, nephews and other family members.

William was predeceased by his parents, William John and Mary Fiander; brothers, Llewellyn Fiander (infant brother), Richard Fiander, Ralph Fiander (Margaret) and Cecil Fiander (Eileen); sisters, Clarissa Evans (Sandy), Eunice Siwak (Roman), Deborah Fiander and Lucy Fiander; and other family members.

Visitations were held at St. Thomas Church at English Harbour West on Monday, July 7 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm and on Tuesday, July 8 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and from 7:00pm to 9:00pm.

Funeral Service was held on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at 2:00pm at St. Thomas Church at English Harbour West with Rev. Bruce Vallis officiating. Interment  followed at the Anglican Cemetery, English Harbour West.
