Cecilia Rose Snellen, 88, of Shepherdsville passed away Saturday, July 5, 2025, at her home.
She was born May 26, 1937 in Lebanon Junction to her parents, John C. and Mary Amy Mattingly Boone.
Cecilia was a bus driver for Bullitt County Schools, worked at Beeler’s Drug Store in Lebanon Junction, when it was located on Main Street, and was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Shepherdsville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John C. and Mary Amy Boone and her siblings, Peggy Raley, Francis Boone, J.C. Boone and Kenny Boone.
Survivors include her husband, Donald Lee Snellen; sons, Dale Snellen and Danny Snellen (Jennifer); brothers, Keith Boone, Mike Boone, Wayne Boone and Bernard Boone; sisters, Helen Sturgeon, Ann Boone and Willetta Bunch; grandsons, Ben Snellen (Megan) and Nick Snellen and great grandchild, Bonnireigh Grant.
Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 10, 2025, at St. Benedict Catholic Church with Father Adam Carrico officiating. Burial will follow in the Lebanon Junction City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2025, and after 9:00 a.m. Thursday at Trowbridge Funeral Home in Lebanon Junction.
