Helen Mary Krysztofiak, 73, of Gore, VA, died on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at her daughter’s home surrounded by her family.
Helen was born on November 12, 1951, in Baltimore, MD, the daughter of the late Milton F. and Helen Mary Moudry Krysztofiak. Helen worked as a teacher for a daycare and loved nothing more than being with her babies every day. She found joy in the simple things and enjoyed reading, playing games on her phone, shopping, going to yard sales, but most of all Helen loved being with her family.
Helen was married to Anthony J. Cox. Anthony died on May 25, 2011.
Surviving are two sons: Harry E. Scott (Lisa) and Milton F. Scott (Holly) both of Baltimore, MD; a daughter: Helen Scott (Mike Day) of Gore, VA; a brother: Milton Krysztofiak (Judy) of Baltimore, MD; a sister: Mary Anderson of Baltimore, MD; eight grandchildren: Kenneth Friend (Ashley) of Martinsburg, WV, Sierra Scott of Gore, VA; Teagan, Daelyn, Gavin, Artis, Aiden Scott all of Baltimore, MD.
A funeral service will be held at Giffin Funeral Home & Crematory on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at 4:00 PM. Officiating will be Pastor Alanna McGuinn. Inurnment at Shenandoah Memorial Park in Winchester, VA will be privately held.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2-4 PM.
