Sharon Rae Allman Obituary

Sharon Rae (Conley) Allman, 75, of Jane Lew, joined her Savior in Heaven on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport surrounded by her loving family.

Sharon was born in Clarksburg on February 3, 1950, the daughter of the late Russell “Jack” and Hattie “Pat” Winslow (Richards) Conley.

Sharon married Timothy B. Allman on August 24, 1968, and celebrated 56 years of marriage in 2024. In addition to Sharon’s parents, she was preceded in death by her oldest son, D. Bryan Allman.

Along with her husband, Sharon’s memory will be cherished by her two sisters: Jacki DeFazio and husband, Neal, and Linda Formica and husband, Andy; two children: Timothy R. Allman and wife, Tammy (Mills), and Amy Cornwell and husband, Mike; daughter-in-law, Mary (Chedester) Allman; six grandchildren: Shara, Andrea, Joseph and wife, Daniela, Victoria, Alydia, and Timothy Allman; and three great-grandchildren: Myla and Raylee Capicola, and Baby Boy Allman (due in September); two sisters-in-law: Cathy Woodson and Beth Armentrout; and many dear cousins, nieces, and nephews. Sharon’s granddaughter, Alydia Allman, was her loving caregiver for the past couple years.

Sharon graduated from Roosevelt Wilson High School in 1968, then attended West Virginia Business College for two years. Upon her retirement in 2023, Sharon was recognized for 32 years as Construction Materials Sales Representative at Architectural Interior Products in Fairmont. She was secretary of the Harrison County Farm Bureau for several years. When her children were young, she led the Good Hope Four-Fold Fighters 4-H group in many conservation activities that helped the group win multiple awards. She was also instrumental in the forming of a Dairy Club, which helped educate kids with dairy judging, showing, and farm tours.

Sharon was known for her many talents cooking and baking, especially her pies, cookies, and clam chowder. She loved to garden and enjoy fresh tomatoes and corn. In younger years, she helped with field work on the farm and fed hungry cattle raisers at the West Virginia Dairy Show. She hosted “Camp Nan” for her grandchildren, and hosted countless birthday parties and holiday gatherings. She shared her strong faith with her family. Most of all, Sharon cherished time spent with her family, and she leaves behind a legacy of love for a faith-filled home life.

Per her request, Sharon’s earthly body will be cremated and placed in the ocean, her favorite place to vacation. A small family gathering to Celebrate her Life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, her family would appreciate donations in Sharon’s memory to the V Foundation for Cancer Research (www.v.org).

We, at Pat Boyle Funeral Home and Cremation Service located at 144 Hackers Creek Rd. in Jane Lew, are honored and privileged to serve the family of Sharon Rae (Conley) Allman. Online condolences may be expressed at www.PatBoyleFuneralHome.com.
