William F. Huettl
January 4, 1973 – July 5, 2025
William “Billy” Huettl, 52, of Buena, NJ, passed away on July 5, 2025. Born in Red Bank, NJ, Billy lived a life full of heart, humor, and deep devotion to his family and friends.
He worked hard his entire life to create a home filled with love, laughter, and lasting memories. Most recently, he served as a Program Manager for HS Restoration, where his dedication and leadership made a lasting impact.
Billy is survived by his loving wife, Deborah; his children, Kyle and Haylee; and his stepchildren, Jamison and Tristan. Also special in his life were Kyle’s partner Kelsie, Haylee’s partner Eric, and Tristan’s fiancée Jennie — each of whom brought joy, support, and connection to his world.
He also leaves behind his parents, Howard and Eileen Huettl; his sisters, Lisa Brown-Velez and her husband Samuel, and Jessica Huettl; and his beloved nieces and nephews: Emily and her husband Jeremy (and their son Beau), Julianna and her husband Trevor (and their daughter Ellie), and John John, all of whom he loved deeply and proudly.
Billy also leaves behind a wide circle of aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, lifelong friends, neighbors, coworkers, and chosen family — so many people who became part of his life and stayed because of his loyalty, humor, and heart. If Billy loved you, you felt it. And if you loved Billy, you were lucky.
He faced a long battle with cancer with strength, grace, and unwavering faith — never once letting it dim his fire. Known affectionately as Knubby Love, Billy brought joy, laughter, and loyalty everywhere he went. He loved camping, being outdoors, telling stories, and turning even the smallest moment into something unforgettable.
A viewing will be held at St. Vincent dePaul Church, 5021 Harding Hwy, Mays Landing, NJ, on Saturday, July 12, 2025, from 9 – 10:45 AM, with a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11 AM. Interment will immediately follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 5061 Harding Hwy, Mays Landing.
Billy will be remembered for his huge heart, unmistakable laugh, and the way he made people feel seen, loved, and welcomed — always. His memory will live on in every joke, every hug, and every fire pit gathering for years to come.
And in the quiet moments — when a song plays, a drink is raised, or laughter breaks out of nowhere — we’ll know he’s right there with us. Especially if someone starts doing a bad Donald Duck impression or lights the bonfire way too early. That’s Billy — still making an entrance, still bringing the fun, still shouting “Git R Done!” from wherever he is.
