Wilbert Altus “W.A.” Pike, of Jacksonville. passed away early Saturday morning at the age of 95.

A graveside service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at Mixon Cemetery in Troup. Bro. Joe Ballard will officiate. Services are under the direction of Autry Funeral Home of Jacksonville.

Visitation will begin Tuesday, July 8, 2025 and family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville.

W.A. was born in the Summer of 1930 to Marvin and Thula (Jackson) Pike. He was a proud graduate of Bullard High School. Working wasn’t just a way to make a living, he truly enjoyed working. In 1957, he opened and ran Pike Saw and Tool in Nacogdoches until the early 1980’s. He then went to work at Delek Refinery as an Environmental Contractor for 14+ years. He found much joy spending time with his family and being a member of First Baptist Church of Mixon.

W.A. was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Jane Pike; second wife, Theta Pike and brother, Gene Pike.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Debra Smith and husband Mark of Tyler, Ricky Pike of Jacksonville, Randy Pike and wife Marli-Beth of Troup; his siblings G.W. Pike and wife Elaine of Mt. Selman and Glenda Ward and husband Don of North Carolina; 10 grandchildren, Teresa Toombs, Chris Arriola and wife Jennifer, Maranda Alonzo and husband Josh, Amber Bell and husband Ryan, Brandon Pike and Wesley Pike; eight great grandchildren Connor Toombs, Camille Toombs, Cayden Toombs, Sadie Arriola, Emeri Alonzo, Gavin Alonzo, Adalyn Bell, Finley Bell, and Palmer Bell.

He is also survived by stepson, Patrick Reagan and wife Lauri of Jacksonville and stepdaughter, Christi Reagan Pipkin and husband Maury of Crandall; step grandchildren, Walter Pipkin, Reese Pipkin, Hilary Oliver and Callie Reagan; step great granddaughter, Emory Oliver; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Rather than customary condolences, the family ask that memorial donations be made to Mixon Cemetery, P.O. Box 395, Troup, Texas 75789.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Country Place Assisted Living in Jacksonville for their compassion and care.
