Richard "Dick" Adams Cushwa, 84, of Williamsport, MD, passed away Saturday, July 5, 2025.

Born April 20, 1941, in Clear Spring, MD, he was the son of the late Leon and Hilda (Frantz) Cushwa.

Dick was a 1959 graduate of Clear Spring High School and a graduate of the University of Maryland, where he received a Bachelor's degree in Engineering.

He retired from Potomac Edison in 2001 after 30 years of employment as a civil engineer.

Dick's passion was cycling.  He rode all over Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Virginia.  He was involved with various bicycling events in Washington County and was a member of the Cumberland Valley Cycling Club.  In previous years, he was a member of the Clear Spring Blazer Band Boosters and Habitat for Humanity.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Linda (Synder) Cushwa of Williamsport; his daughter, Lisa Cesa and husband, Rodney, of Hagerstown; a granddaughter, Keanna; a brother, William "Bill" Cushwa and wife, Debby, of Clear Spring; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

In addition to his parents, Dick was preceded in death by his sister, Sylvia Wiseman.

The family will receive friends at Donald Edwin Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., 13607 National Pike, Clear Spring, MD on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 from 6 to 8 pm.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
