Peggy Ann (Hassler) Schaeffer, 86, of Sinking Spring, passed away Saturday, July 5th, 2025 at home. She was the wife of the late Carl J. “Butch” Schaeffer, who passed away Oct. 6, 2011.
Peggy, a daughter of the late David and Sadie (Fitterling) Hassler, Sr., was born in Reading. She is survived by two sons, Gary A. Schaeffer, widow of Linda, and Jason L. Schaeffer, companion of Aimee Grim; a daughter, Tina L. Lando; and two grandsons, Ryan J. and Thomas R.; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Harold, David Jr., and Robert Hassler; and three sisters, Grace Showaker, Ruth Boyer, and Noreen Ochs.
She was a member of St. John’s (Hain’s) UCC, Wernersville.
She was a 1957 graduate of Wilson High School and retired from Sun Pipeline, having worked in the office.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, July 10th, at Lamm & Witman Funeral Home, 243 W. Penn Ave., Wernersville. A viewing will be held from 10-11:00 AM, Thursday, July 10th, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St.Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
