Margie Ruth Elliott Davis, age 96, of Ellenboro passed away Saturday July 5, 2025 while being cared for by Hospice of the Carolina Foothills. Margie was a native of Rutherford County and was employed by Stallings Textiles for 28 years and by Doncaster Tanner until her retirement. She was an active member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church for as long as she was able. Those preceding her in death include her husband James R. Davis, son Stanley F. Davis and parents Rucker and Maude Murphy Elliott.

Left to cherish her memory are her son James V. Davis (Glenda); grandchildren Kimberly Davis and Leighann Jackson (Marty); great grandchildren Kelsey Padgett (Jason), David Davis, Troy Davis and Connor Jackson; great great Maleah Radford and Kolton Radford.

A celebration of Margie’s life will be held Monday July 7, 2025 at Crowe’s Funeral Chapel with Chaplain Jason Salyers officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Ridge Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10-11 AM Prior to the service.
