Marlene Roxanne Garcia Obituary
Marlene Roxanne Garcia, lovingly known as Roxy, passed away peacefully at age 53 after enduring a long cancer battle. She faced it the way she lived her life—with dignity, grace, grit, and a wicked sense of humor.
Roxy was a force of nature: quick to laugh, fiercely loyal, and endlessly fun. She loved the outdoors and could often be found on the golf course, fishing with friends, or kayaking on a lake. Her smile was contagious, and she could light up any room with her laughter.
Roxy was married to the love of her life, Jim Corrigan. Their days were filled with laughter, adventure, appreciation, and a deep love and commitment for each other. Roxy was devoted to her family—and is survived by her brothers Mark Garcia, Bryan Garcia (Sara and Landon), and her beloved mother, Marlene Garcia. She was preceded in death by her father, Mauro Garcia.
A funeral Mass will be held on June 30, 2025, at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 87 Lacy Street NW, Marietta, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Colorectal Cancer Alliance (https://www.ccalliance.org) or LPGA Foundation (https://www.girlsgolf.org/give), which supports girls' golf initiatives.
Roxy loved life and leaves behind memories as bright and unforgettable as she was. She will be missed beyond words.
