Wendy Sue (Benedict) Dickerson, 42, of Hagerstown, MD passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 in Ashford, WV. Born, June 7, 1976 in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of Harvey S. Benedict, III and Sharon Nyhart and Christi Benedict and Gayle Javins. Wendy graduated in 1994 from Williamsport High School. She was employed by Walmart in Hagerstown for fifteen years. Wendy attended Emmons Freewill Baptist Church in Ashford, WV. Wendy loved her family, kids, dogs, and tip jars. She was a very passionate person; outgoing always and made everyone else happy with her big smile and big heart. Wendy was very independent and would give you her last penny. She spoiled all the kids. In addition to her parents, Wendy is survived by a daughter, Jessica Ann Keaffaber and husband, Steve; a son, Gary Paul Dickerson, III; grandchildren Steven Keaffaber, Jr. and Dominic Keaffaber; siblings, Tammy S. Lushbaugh and husband, Randy, Carleda S. Benedict (Sissy) and husband, Charlie, Harvey S. Benedict, IV (Huck) and wife, Jodi; Steven S. Benedict and wife, Michelle, Jeremiah D. Benedict and wife, Nikki, James O. Benedict and wife, Crystal, Shawnte S. Benedict and husband, Shawn; Tony Kline and wife, Jill, Jessica Rodeffer and husband, Steve and Eric Moats and girlfriend, Shannon; and numerous nieces and nephews who loved and adored their Aunt Wendy. She was preceded in death by her nieces, Angalena Robinson and Mari Rodeffer, nephew Terry Obitts, Jr. and grandparents, Edward and Jane Godlove and Harvey II and Catherine Benedict. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Pastor Gregory Tyler will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at the funeral home.
