Joseph Harrison

Joseph Harrison was born July 4, 1941 in Chesterfield County, South Carolina, a son of the late Charlie and Bessie James Harrison. He departed this life and went to his Heavenly home on Monday, February 11, 2019 at Faith Health Care Center after an extended illness. Mr. Harrison received his formal education in the Chesterfield county public schools. Bunchie, as he was lovingly known to his family and close friends relocated to Winston-Salem, North Carolina and began working in roofing. Most people who knew him considered him a jack-of-all trades. He will forever be missed by his family and friends. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, and eight of his brothers. Surviving to cherish the memory and continue the legacy of Joseph Harrison include his wife Louvenia Harrison of Albany, NY; three sons, Joseph (Bonnie) Harrison of Winston-Salem, NC, Joseph Tony Porter of Cheraw, SC, and Joseph Harrison, Jr. of Albany, NY; five daughters, Angelina Harrison of Albany, NY, Cheryl (Jeffery) Jacobs of Raleigh, NC, Andrea (Brian) Mumford of Darlington, SC, Tonya Gattison of Charlotte, NC and Delores Green of Winston-Salem, NC; two sisters, Shirley Harrison and Evelyn (Toney) Singletary both of Society Hill, SC; two brothers, Toby Harrison of Winston-Salem, NC and Roosevelt Harrison of Lityhonia, GA; his sisters-in-law, Emma Harrison of Society Hill, SC and Eliza Harrison of Chapel Hill, NC; his brother-in-law, Toney Singletary of Society Hill, SC, twenty grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and very dear friends.
