Samuel Ladd Scholl, 34, passed away on June 2, 2025, in College Station, Texas.

Born on November 11, 1990, Sam, who was known as "Big Sam" among his family and friends graduated from Bryan High School in 2009 and later attended and played football at West Texas A&M. Sam built his career as a car salesman at Sterling Auto Group, where his outgoing nature and warm smile made a lasting impression he truly never met a stranger.

Sam had a love for life's simple pleasures. He found joy in fishing, tending to his garden, especially his cherished morning glories, and cooking for his buddies "out at Clay's".

A sharp dresser who relished any excuse to suit up, Sam loved to be a "sharp-dressed man".

Above all else, Samuel treasured being a father to his daughter Joy Jackson. Sam was dearly loved by his mother, Molly Marchman; brother, Grayson Phillips, sister, Madelyn Phillips; grandmother, Yvonne Scholl; and his uncles, Barry Knight, Houston Marchman, Kevin Scholl, and Shawn Scholl.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Guy Scholl and Joe Marchman; his great-grandparents, Mildred and Monk Clearman; and his beloved dog, Bruce.

Visitation will be at St. Joseph's on June 13, 2025, at 1:30 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Life service at 2:30 p.m.

Samuel's warmth, humor, and generous spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to those who carry him in their hearts.
