Arnold Keith Carter Obituary

Arnold Keith Frank Alexander Carter, 69, was born April 12, 1956 to the union of the late Albert Mitchell and Doretha Carter. He departed this life on May 14, 2025.


Affectionately known as "Keith" by all, he was the 7th oldest of nine children. Keith confessed Christ at an early age at Mt Nebo Baptist Church where he was a member for many years. He became a member of Northwestern Missionary Baptist Church where he loved singing and serving the Lord.


Known as the ice cream man, Keith was an ice cream truck driver and often took his son Keishande with him and let him eat all the ice cream he wanted. Keith was also a cab driver throughout the city for many years.


Keith was preceded in death by his father and mother, Albert Mitchell and Doretha Carter, brothers Albert Henry Carter, Andrew Carter, Ronald Carter and sister Adria Hardy.


Keith leaves to cherish his memory son Keishande Mandrel Carter, two sisters Debra (Elder Clarence) Williams, Pamela (Michael) McChester, two brothers, Charlie Carter, Anthony Carter, granddaughter Egypt Somaya Carter, Special friends Geselda "Kacy" Williams, Ronald "Pettie" Walker Trail, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and other friends.


Visitation will be held at Northwestern Missionary Baptist Church, 1171 Oakwood Avenue, Toledo, Ohio 43607 on Saturday, May 31, 2025 from 11:00 am until the time of the memorial service at 12:00 pm with Reverend Willie Knighten, Sr. officiating.
