Glennie Irene Joyner, who passed away on April 27th, 2025, at the age of 93 in Loves Park, Illinois. She was surrounded by her family.
Born on May 17th, 1931, in Clinton, Arkansas, to William and Vida (Chism) Grant, Glennie married Leonard on August 15th, 1953.
She found joy in playing cards with family and friends, watching John Wayne movies, and listening to "Chiseled in Stone" by Vern Gosdin, which was her favorite song. She was also a dedicated fan of the Chicago Cubs and Bears.
Glennie is survived by her son, Gerald Joyner; daughters, Debra Thompson, Jeannie Joyner, and Deana Joyner-Nania; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and her sister, Aldine Domer.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Leonard Duane Joyner.
