Linda Shockley Obituary

Linda Shockley, a vibrant and beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2025 at the age of 84. Born on August 8, 1940 in Dallas, TX, Linda was known for her infectious silliness, boundless energy, and deep love for her family and faith.


Linda dedicated many years of her life to teaching drama at the local high school, where she inspired countless students with her passion for the arts. After retiring, she embraced her adventurous spirit by traveling the country in her motor home, exploring new places and making cherished memories along the way.


She had a special fondness for birds and yellow roses, which brought her immense joy. Linda's love for her family was evident in everything she did. She is survived by her three children, Becky Veak, Steve (Joni) Taylor, and Mark (Nancy) Taylor, as well as numerous grandchildren who adored her. She was preceded in death by husbands, Bobby D Cole, Rex H. Taylor and Charles L Shockley and children Connie Taylor (Kyle) Burnett and Chris Cole


Linda's faith was a cornerstone of her life. Her favorite song, "Jesus Loves Me," was a testament to her unwavering belief and anticipation of meeting her Savior. Her legacy of love, laughter, and faith will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
