Michael Reiter
Michael L. Reiter, age 71, of Redondo Beach, California passed away March 16, 2019. Mike was born December 5, 1947 to Anthony G. and Myrtle Olson Reiter. He graduated from Paola High School in 1965. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1966 through 1970. Mike moved to California in 1974 to work for Garrett Aviation Services as an Airframe and Power Plant Inspector at Los Angeles International Airport. He retired in 2014 after 40 years of service. Mike was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law Steve and Ellie Reiter of Covington, Louisiana. Mike was a loving son and brother and a loyal friend. He was a lifelong fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals. He enjoyed watching the Los Angeles Rams, golf, NASCAR and all sports. Visitation will be from 12 noon-1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at Dengel & Son Mortuary, 305 N. Pearl St., Paola, Kansas. Graveside burial service at Holy Cross Cemetery will follow the visitation at 1:15 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
