In Loving Memory of Alice Tomoko Oka, age 61, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 13, 2025. She was a devoted wife and a loving mother. Her strength, kindness, and unwavering love shaped the lives of those around her, leaving a lasting legacy of warmth and compassion.

Born on September 8, 1963, in São Paulo Brazil, Alice dedicated her life to her family, friends, and students. She had a remarkable ability to bring joy to others. She enjoyed Disney and Studio Ghibli movies, and old American television shows. She had a passion for healthy Japanese food and Brazilian comfort food. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is survived by her spouse James Bray of Yorktown, VA, her son William Bray, her siblings in São Paulo, sister Keiko, brothers Jorge and Decio, and preceded in death by her mother, Siuko, and father, Haruo. A private service to celebrate her life will be held on May 20, 2025, at Hollywood Cemetery in Richmond VA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude in her honor.

Her love will forever remain in our hearts.
