David James Burke, 65, of Palmyra, peacefully passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2025 at his home.
David was born in Hershey and was the son of William P. Burke and Rita (Bemesderfer) Burke. He graduated from DeVry University of Columbus Ohio and went on to work as a technician for Snap On Tools, retiring in 2022.
He was known for his kind heart, being a longtime fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates, traveling to West Virginia University to cheer on the Mountaineers, a golf enthusiast, NASCAR and Indy car racing, as well as jazz and blues music festivals.
David is survived by his niece, Danielle Geib and brother-in-law Daniel Geib.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William P. Burke and Rita Burke, his siblings, brother William Burke and sister Patricia L Geib.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday May 21st at 10AM-Noon at Hoover Funeral Home in Hershey. A private interment will take place in the Hershey Cemetery.
The family respectfully request no flowers; donations may be made to the Humane Society of Harrisburg.
