Our family and friends mourn the loss of Harold Odell Cagle (Papaw), age 86, who peacefully passed away on April 23, 2025 at the Elizabeth House. 

Harold was a lifelong resident of Henderson County, NC. He graduated from Edneyville  High School and retired from Citizens Telephone Company. Harold was a painter and maintenance man. 

Harold really enjoyed to garden. He was also quite a fisherman. Harold enjoyed boating at the lake, reading the bible, going to church, and spending time with his family and friends. He loved his family so much. Harold was a lifelong member at Moores Grove Methodist Church.

Harold was the son of the late Zoro and Ruby Cagle. He is proceeded in death by his son, Harold Odell Cagle Jr.; brother, William Cagle; sister, Liliy Varney (Emsey); son in law, Phillip Gilliam; and granddaughter, Caroline Cagle.

Surviving Harold is his loving wife, Addlee Cagle; sister, Susan Cantrell; son, Wayne Cagle; daughters, Donna Gilliam (Philip),and Anita Cagle; grandchildren, Kristy Cagle, Roger Cagle (Jessica), Rhonda Cagle, Keith Gilliam (Michelle )Sabrina Bazemore Nikki Cagle, Gladys Cagle Branham (Dustin), Justin Palomar, and Blaze Cagle; great grandchildren, Chistopher Bedford, Jasmine Bedford, Jenna Cagle, Bailey Cromer, Brandon Cagle, Keyden Cagle, Blaine Sanders, Elijah Cagle, Melinda Moffitt, Landon Moffitt, Makayla Cagle, Megan Cagle, Aaron Rolls, Andrianna rolls, Alekzander Stichcomb, Aexzavur Bazemore, Derek Martin (Mallory), Matthew Norton, Donnie Wayne Norton, Isabella Branham, Christopher Palomar, Hailey Palomar; great-great grandchildren, Charlie Lawson, Lainey Cooper, Jax Cooper, Waylon Cash, June Moffitt, Abel Martin, Titus Martin, Ryker Norton, Billy Rolls, Steve Rolls, Elijah Rolls, Nathaniel Rolls, and many other close relatives that he loved dearly. 

Harold's celebration of life will be held on May 10, 2025 at Moores Grove Methodist Church with Visitation  at 11am, Funeral at 12 pm and food and fellowship shortly after.
